The question was about the Book of Life and how to get your name into it, and whether it is incorrect to pray to Jesus instead of God for salvation. Dearest One, You know this whole issue of simply saying a prayer to get saved is something the preachers have come up with to get people going. It is not a matter of whom you prayed to because God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are ONE in three personages. That is not to say that during the Tribulation the prayer of salvation can't be applied. God promises to save them simply by saying this prayer during the Tribulation because time is up. At that point it is over. . The following from the KJV Bible will give you a handle on what is involved. Please read it all the way to gain assurance that you are saved for time and eternity as long as you remain in God's will and not stray to do it your way. These verses apply to your inquiry. Before I let you go, Satan does gear into believers and tries to steal their salvation. Doubts and anxiety will be an open door to Satan to create more of that and often people end up out of the will of God because of Satan's lures. He did it to Jesus with temptations, but Jesus told Satan to get behind Him. If Satan did it to Jesud, he'll do it to us. That is why taking in the Word of God daily is like vitamins to the body. This Scripture implies that all names are in the Book of Life because in John is states that all have the light (Christ Jesus the Word) to begin with and they either respond to it or they don't. Those who respond to it remain in the Book of Life. Those who do not will be stricken from the Book of Life. The following confirms that we were all in the Book of Life

The Gospel (good news) is about believing that Jesus Christ is the Christ (Son of God) who said when ye have seen me, ye have seen God. If you truly believe that you have the Holy Spirit and you are sealed for time and eternity, BECAUSE WITHOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT YOU WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO BELIEVE THAT. Of course we can decide we don't want to go to heaven and be stricken from the Book of Life. God gave us free will. Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Acts 13:26 Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent. WHEN WE FEAR GOD WE TRY HARD TO DO HIS WILL. Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. WE HAVE TO PLACE OURSELVES INTO HIS HANDS TO GET IT DONE IT IS BY HIS POWER THAT WE MAKE IT THROUGH. Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. GOD WANTS US TO SHARE THE GOOD NEWS WITH OTHERS THAT WE ARE SAVED. 2 Corinthians 7:10 For godly sorrow [THAT WE SINNED] worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now [after we have received grace] much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. YOU CAN SEE HERE IT IS A PROCESS THAT TAKES OUR WHOLE LIFE. IT IS A DAILY DECISION AND EVERY DECISION WE MAKE NEEDS TO INCLUDE HOW GOD WOULD FEEL ABOUT IT. 2 Timothy 2:10 Therefore I [TIMOTHY] endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. THAT MEANS OUR LIVES WILL ALSO HAVE TO ENDURE ALL THINGS SINCE WE BECOME DISCIPLES AS WELL WHEN WE DECIDE WE WANT TO BE PART OF THE BODY OF CHRIST. 1 Peter 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. THIS CONFIRMS THAT SALVATION IS A PROCESS OF INCREASING OUR FAITH ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS.
