Blaspheming the Holy Ghost

"... The Biblical questions about this spiritual suicide must he answered. The Lord Jesus Christ gave the best description of this final sin. He said, "Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come" (Matthew 12:31-32 kjv).

Please remember that blasphemy against Him - Jesus Christ - can he forgiven, but not blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. Why? Because the entire matter of conviction and conversion is the ministry of the Spirit. He is the compassionate, personal representative of Christ’s redemption from sin. Jesus Christ is elevating the actions and duties of the Spirit and is making sure no one treats Him despairingly. Nothing the Lord ever said about the Holy Ghost raises Him to a grander position within the Godhead.
The Holy Ghost is omnipresent and was sent down from Heaven to abide in Christ’s body, the church. Jesus Christ is at the Father’s right hand, but the Spirit reveals Him and the Father in us and to us. if we offend Him. to the point of blaspheming Him, we have no access to the Father or the Son. The moment He withdraws His Spirit from anyone, they are hopelessly lost. Jesus Christ will never act against the authority of His infallible words to save that person.

Lost! Lost! Lost forever is the absolute fate.of a person that. blasphemes the Holy Ghost. Take a look at the multitudes of people that were raised in Bible-believing churches. Millions of these souls have grown tired of the teachings and standards of the Bible and have totally refused the wooing of the Spirit to bring them hack to surrender. A great majority has already blasphemed the Floly Ghost. These people have become blatant in their sins and will laugh at your pleadings.

Let’s try to understand the point at which blaspheming the Holy Spirit occurs. The stories of Peter and Judas are helpful. Both of these two men blasphemed the Lord Jesus Christ. Judas sold Him for thirty pieces of silver. Peter denied Him three times and cursed at his accusers. But. Peter repented with tears and brokenness. He was forgiven and preached that awesome sermon on the Day of Pentecost. Judas found no repentance and committed suicide. There were no tears with Judas, just hopeless remorse. Judas had apparently blasphemed the Holy Ghost. It was a matter of the heart.

The blasphemer is not the man that fails but is full of godly sorrow. The blasphemer is the man that says, "Leave me alone." An attitude of repentance and genuine regret is the heart of that soul that is open to mercy. But, the person that can reject the ministry of conviction and the call to repentance by the Holy Ghost and show no sign of regret is the person that has blasphenied the Holy Ghost,

You must understand that anyone that is lull of Godly sorrow and is hungry to become a Biblical Christian has not "blasphemed the Holy Ghost." There is no wooing or calling by the Spirit to a person that has blasphemed. ‘Their heart is a cold, calculated rejection. They’ have counted the cost and said to the Holy Spirit. "Leave me alone."

It is dangerous to reject the standards of the Holy Bible and a Godly life? The church has many members that claim to be Christians, hut have blasphemed the Holy Ghost. No one is more likely to blaspheme than those in rehe]lion while still a part of the church. When you claim to be redeemed, but live the life of rebellion against truth; you grieve, quench, and, finally, blaspheme the Holy Spirit. Presently. the church world is full of religious people that want nothing to do with separation from the world and a set apart life. Try to reason with these souls and you will get rebuffed and hated. They are close to blaspheming because they so easily reject the truth.

The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of Truth. lb blaspheme truth is to blaspheme the Holy Spirit. They cannot be separated. The Sword of the Spirit is the Word. Everything the Spirit represents is in the Word because He delivered it to every writer of Holy Scripture. This makes the act of blaspheming the Holy Ghost understandably clear. To reject and scorn the Bible is to reject and 5COFfl the Holy Ghost in the Bible and in all Truth. Esau was a perfect example. He sold his birthright - a promise of the covenant - for a mess of pottage and could not repent because he had blasphemed the Holy Spirit that watched over every covenant with God.

We will see acts of "blaspheming the Holy Ghost" more than we have ever seen them in all of history. Satan and his dem)ns arc preparing the way for the Antichrist, and blasphemy is the personality and ultimate spirit of this Antichrist. He is soon to rule the world. Thank God for the Pre-Tribulation Rapture that will occur at any moment. http://www.PawCreek.org
