GOD

The personal Creator worthy of human worship because of His holy nature and His perfect love revealed in creating the universe, electing and redeeming His people, and providing eternal salvation through His Son Jesus Christ.

Heb 1:10 (KJV)
And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth;
and the heavens are the works of thine hands:

God is unique in the universe.
No person, object, or idea can be compared to God.

1 Sam 2:2-3 (KJV)
There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee:
neither is there any rock like our God.
{3} Talk no more so exceeding proudly;
let not arrogancy come out of your mouth:
for the LORD is a God of knowledge,
and by him actions are weighed.

Anything said about God must be based on His revelation of Himself to us. Anything said about God must be said in human terms, the only terms we have and understand. The reality of God is always much greater than human minds can understand or express.

Isa 55:8-9 (KJV)
For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
{9} For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

God is the Bible's Primary Subject
The Bible and history begin with God.

Gen 1:1 (KJV)
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

The last chapter of the Bible describes God as
Rev 22:13 (KJV)

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

All the way through Scripture God is primary. For Christians the primacy of God is reassuring, liberating, and instructive. It reassures us that God controls all existence. It liberates us to know the loving, redeeming God seeks to set us free. It instructs us to be able to look for signs of God throughout His universe.

God is Present with Us.
God is present in His world in a unique manner. He is never separated from any part of His creation. As spirit, God has the perfect capability of being present everywhere in the world at once. The psalmist exclaimed,

Psa 139:7-8 (KJV)
Whither shall I go from thy spirit?
or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
{8} If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there:
if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

The prophet looked for the Messiah to be named Emmanuel, meaning, "God with us"; and Matthew reported that God fulfilled that promise in Jesus.

Isa 7:14 (KJV)
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign;
Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son,
and shall call his name Immanuel.

Mat 1:23 (KJV)
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son,
and they shall call his name Emmanuel,
which being interpreted is, God with us.

God will live with His people in the future state.
The end time will make the presence of God even more clear: .

(Rev 21:3-8 KJV)
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying,
Behold, the tabernacle{Grk=habitation} of God is with men,
and he will dwell with them,
and they shall be his people,
and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
{4} And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying,
neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away.
{5} And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.
And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
{6} And he said unto me, It is done.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.
I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
{7} He that overcometh shall inherit all things;
and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
{8} But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable,
and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars,
shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:
which is the second death.
