What happens to those left behind?

"Lukewarm, unbelieving Christians (Rev. 3:15,16, Hebrews 6:12) will be left behind when the Tribulation begins and after the Rapture has taken place. They will then be there to experience the "judgment" of God. Because they did not "judge themselves" (1 Corinthians 11:31,32) in regard to their carnality, apathy and/or unbelief in God's promise to rescue them from the hour of trial, they must, for a season, be chastened by the Lord so that they can escape His wrath which begins immediately after the Main Harvest Rapture (Rev. 7:13ff).

The first six seals of the Tribulation Week are God's "judgment," as contrasted to His "wrath." That is why it is tenable that certain Christians be present in the earth during the initial stages of the "indignation," as it is referred to in Daniel 11:36.

Overcoming, firstfruit Christians (Rev. 3:5,12; James 1:18, 2 Thessalonians 2:13 [original language]) will, as the restrainer (Holy Spirit in believers), be taken out just prior the seven years of Tribulation begin (9:27, 2 Thessalonians 2:6,7; Rev. 3:10, Isaiah 26:19-21). (We agree with this Scriptural thesis of The Sure Foundation Ministries, Inc.")

The Bible sets forth multiple Raptures. The First Rapture / Resurrection begins with Jesus Christ and ends just before Armageddon. The Second Rapture is at the end of the thousand year millennium when all dead and living are raised for the Great White Throne Judgement (Rev. 20:4,5).

Within the First Rapture / Resurrection there are seven references concerning different individuals / groups of individuals at different times raptured / resurrected.
These events are also referred to as the seven stages of the First Resurrection.

Stage 1) Jesus Firstfruit - Acts 1:9-11; Luke 24:7.
Stage 2) Old Testament Saints - Matthew 27:52, Ephesians 4:8,9.
Stage 3) New Testament Firstfruits - James 1:18, Luke 21:36; 1 Thess. 4:16,17, 1 Cor. 15:51,52.
Stage 4 Tribulation Main Harvest Rapture - Rev. 7:9-14; Luke 17:33,34.
Stage 5) Two Witnesses - Rev 11:12.
Stage 6) Old Testament Firstfruits 144,000 (representatives of 12 Jewish Tribes of 12,000 each) - Rev. 7:4-8; Rev. 12:5; Rev. 14:1-5.
Stage 7) The Tribulation martyrs at the conclusion of the First Resurrection - Rev. 20:4; Hosea 6:2; Rev. 6:9-11.

According to the Bible, the First Resurrection spans 2,000 years - from Christ's first coming to His second coming. The Second Resurrection happens 1,000 years after the completion of the First Resurrection.
